Video navigation system

Description

This system is intended for moving object navigation in lack of GPS/GLONASS signal (GPS signal jamming or blackout, during a flight in mountain relief, while moving in city conditions or indoors)

The system works in a human-like way.
It finds key points in the first video frame and then monitors their moving within the frame. According to movement style it determines camera position and orientation changes. High navigational accuracy is provided by program possibility to find hundreds of key points in each frame.

Options:

  • Accurate reference photos mode
Video frames are compared with memory-stored track fragments images. In case of similarity the system identifies precise coordinates and their orientation.
  • Accurate relief mode
Relief is reconstructed with help of stereo-effect created by camera motion, and then compared with memory data. In case of similarity the system identifies precise coordinates and their orientation.
