Flight and Navigation Procedure Trainer and Training Devices

FNPT

A low budget alternative, and sometimes a substantial addition to full flight simulators is offered by Flight and Navigation Procedures Trainers (FNPT) of levels I, II, III in the JAR-STD-1А/H standard and Flight Training Devices (FTD) of levels 4, 5, 6 in the FAA standard.

These relatively inexpensive training devices are produced without motion system. FNPT can be equipped with instrument imitators, or the aircraft instrumentation can be imitated on the liquid crystal touch monitors.

Flight controls are reproduced in the form of actual airplane (helicopter) controls with organic loading system, or in the form of imitators with controls loading system providing adequate-to-real aircraft control feel.

The projection or collimation visual system and simulator software are in full compliance with requirements for Level D full flight simulators.

FNPT can be supplied with authentic aeronautical databases for crew full scale navigation training.

An essential advantage of FNPT with touch monitors is its capability to be reconfigured by restarting the software to suit another set of equipment and flight dynamics model. The feature enables the multi-functional use of trainers with touch monitors for training crews of one type of aircraft with a varying set of equipment, or, in some cases, for training crews of different types of aircraft with similar or identical arrangement of controls.
