NaviTAWS

NaviTAWS airborne terrain database is intended for use in terrain awareness and warning systems (TAWS) of ÒÒÀ-12 family

NaviTAWS is a comprehensive database which includes aeronautical data, information on man-made obstacles and terrain data (digital elevation model – DEM).The NaviTAWS database contains information on the territory of the entire world.Aeronautical information and terrain data complies with requirements of DO-201A and TSO-C151b documents.

To reduce the risk of CFIT caused flight accidents in the mountain areas and in accordance with TSO-C151b requirements, NaviTAWS database contains more accurate data on elevations in the mountain aerodrome areas. To this end, the terrain data is represented with digital models of two levels: Level A models – world coverage and Level B models – mountain aerodrome areas.

The collection of level B model data contains information on the territory of more than one hundred and fifty mountain aerodromes of the world.Terrain data is continuously made more accurate and updated. To ensure the terrain data correctness, the company has developed and applies Quality Check System.

The airport, terrain and obstacles data processing and delivery process complies with the RTCA DO-200A/EUROCAE ED 76 “Standards for processing aeronautical data” and ÊÒ-200À “Aeronautical data processing requirements”.

The quality Check System ensures data integrity at all the database formation stages.
