Russian Equipment by Transas Aviation for EC-135 and EC-175

TRANSAS AVIATION has signed contracts with the world’s leading helicopter producer EUROCOPTER and its subsidiary EUROCOPTER-VOSTOK for fitting out aircraft with the airborne equipment.

In pursuance of the contract TRANSAS AVIATION started delivery of equipment sets comprised of the ТТА-12Н Terrain Awareness and Warning System (TAWS), TSS satellite navigation receiver using GLONASS/GPS signals and TDS-12 multifunctional display for fitting out ЕС-135 helicopters.

Installation of this equipment has a significant effect on the improvement of flight safety and offers full compliance with new RF Federal Aviation Regulations which require all the operating aircraft to be fitted out with GLONASS receivers and TAWS systems with the forward looking terrain avoidance (FLTA) function.

Besides, an agreement was reached to fit out these helicopters with TSL-1600 SAR searchlights by TRANSAS AVIATION.

Apart from fitting out EC-135 helicopters, there are plans to install TRANSAS AVIATION equipment on EC-175 helicopters.
