“FSTD Qualification” Training Course

Mr. Andy Gillbard, a Simulator Technical Inspector invited from the UK Civil Aviation Authority (UK CAA), conducted the “FSTD Qualification” training course for the ZAO Transas Aviation’s leading engineers.

In the course of lectures, the various aspects of training device and simulator qualification were touched upon, and issues like the simulator manufacturer/operator distribution of responsibilities, understanding of the Quality System role in the simulator certification and operation process, implementation of different methods to obtain and certify source data and certification rules were considered in detail.
