The simulator is created on the basis of the TRANSAS technologies in cooperation with the AVIASVITA airline and with the college experts participating. The representatives of the National Aviation University and Ministry of Transport who spoke at the opening, noted the high interaction level in the implementation of this project and organisation of academic activities. At the gathering devoted to the simulator operation start, Vladimir Golovensky, the Head of the College, observed that the launching of the simulator was a logical finale of the years-long joint work of Ukrainian and Russian partners. Mr. Golovensky also noted that the operation of the Ìi-8 ÌÒÂ would improve significantly the Ukrainian civil aviation flight safety, would contribute to the college prestige and a higher level of the cadet training. The simulator provides for the contingency training using real-life air accidents as examples. There is a capability to imitate any adverse weather phenomena including a snowdrift and dust storm, which is especially valuable with a view to the climatic conditions of the helicopter operation. In addition to the better cadet training quality, introduction of the simulator in the training process will offer a significant cut of its cost. The Ìi-8ÌÒV flight trainer holds a compliance certificate issued by the State Aviation Administration of the Ukrainian Ministry of Transport and Communications. Answering questions from the press, the TRANSAS representative underlined that high class simulators could only be created on the basis of cooperation with the helicopter developers: ÎÀÎ MIL MOSCOW HELICOPTER PLANT and expressed gratitude to the staff of this enterprise. It should be noted that five Ìi-8/Ìi-17 type helicopter simulators by TRANSAS are operating successfully in Russia, and the installation at the Flight College is a first step in the development of cooperation in the use of high-tech in the civil aviation of the Ukraine. |
