First Russian FNPT for ATR-42

One of the biggest Russian airlines, UT aAir, has signed a contract with TRANSAS to design and deliver FNPT for ATR-42 aircraft.

The TRANSAS developed training aid is classified as FNPT 7 (FNPT level III in international terms). It is equipped with 180o x 40o 3 channel visual system. “Aurora” Visual System allows to generate images that are required for level D simulators and to imitate all the severe and hazardous weather conditions.

The trainer will have a cockpit replica with flight controls loading system to make training flight conditions as much approximated as possible to real ones.

Instructor Operation Station permits to control all stages of crew training. It is designed to make and to edit exercises, to enter and to cancel failures, to execute pre- and post-flight debriefings and to document flight and crew’s training results. The supplied Database will support scenario for any airport.
