Transas delivers Mi-26T Helicopter Flight Simulator for UTair
TRANSAS declares signing a delivery contract for Mi-26 helicopter flight simulator with Russian Airline UTair. This contract is a result of joint efforts of TRANSAS and UT Air to improve flight safety .
Full Flight Simulator of level A is going to be mounted in “UTair” Training Centre in Tyumen. The supplied FFS meets all native requirements for full flight simulators. It’s the first and only Mi-26T FFS that will be operated in Russia.
The simulator uses 8-channel projection visual system and spherical screen. It allows modeling any flight region with high level of detailing, search and selection of landing pads and ensures wide view angles including bottom hemisphere. Visual system provides generation of images required for level D FFS, and imitation of severe and hazardous weather conditions, including blizzard and wind spout.
Instructor Operation Station permits to control all stages of crew training. It enables creating and editing exercises, entering and canceling failures, executing pre- and post-flight debriefings, documenting flight and crew’s training results. FFS will be supplied with visual scenes made on the basis of electronic charts, orthophotographs and aeronautical databases.
New FFS will allow UTair which is among leaders of the world helicopter market and one of four biggest Russian airlines alongside with other airlines trained at the UTair Training Centre to increase flight safety of their helicopters.
