Transas offers a new service to their clients - provision of aerodrome charts electronic databases

NaviField service allows Map generator and TAWS system users to receive detailed info about airfields, required for the crew on taxi stage. Airdrome objects electronic data contained in NaviField database is displayed in airborne systems as an electronic vector chart. An airfield image shown on the display may be set and positioned according to aircraft heading and its position. This facilitates ground orientation in unfamiliar airport or in low visibility.

Besides NaviField data may be possessed by ground truth collection for airfield works planning and control as well as for monitoring of aircraft and vehicles movement on aerodrome surface.

NaviField database contains info relating to the following objects:

• runways;
• taxiways;
• aprons;
• heliports;
• parking areas;
• hangars;
• lighting;
• buildings and installations.
